Reminder: Ordinance #242 requires all dogs and cats in the city of Barling to be licensed. Before an application for a dog/cat license is made, the owner must present a rabies vaccination certificate signed by a licensed veterinarian. State law 20-19-305.

All licenses shall be issued for 1 year beginning January 1, 2020. Applications for a license may be made prior to and 90 days after the start of the licensing year without penalty. Any person who knowingly fails to do so, within 15 days after written notification from a Police Officer or Animal Control Officer to obtain a license may be cited.
